ON-CALL crews from Bicester Fire Station practised water rescue techniques at a luxury hotel and spa.
Firefighters went to Bicester Hotel and Spa to train at the site’s swimming lake.
Some of the exercises they did included wading, throwlines and hose inflation.

These are all techniques used to rescue people who get into trouble in the water, using equipment carried on every fire engine.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service say it is important to remember that when it is sunny and warm the water can still be very cold which can lead to difficulties.
People should only swim in designated swimming areas which are lifeguarded.
Bicester Hotel and Spa in Chesterton opened new facilities this year including an assault course.
