A PRIMARY school has confirmed a staff member has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a letter to parents, which the Oxford Mail has seen, Bayards Hill Primary School confirmed on Thursday that an employee has contracted the virus and is now self-isolating at home.
Despite this, the school in Barton will remain open as pupils were not in 'close contact' with them.

One concerned parent Becca Godwin revealed that she was told by a teacher yesterday that the staff member was one of the cleaners.
Bayards Hill said they are continuing to monitor the situation and are working 'closely' with Public Health England.
The letter read: "Based on the information we have been given, the confirmed case was contracted in the community rather than at school.
"The member of staff does not work directly with pupils and seld-isolated at an early stage."
