Stagecoach has increased its Sunday service on Route 100, which runs from Carterton, Witney and Eynsham to Oxford.
The frequency has increased from every 30 minutes to 20 minutes and on the first Sunday, carried an additional 300 passengers.
Trevor Bayliss, Stagecoach operations manager for Witney, said: "We are committed to improving our services, and recognise that Sunday shopping is becoming increasingly popular."
