A 'sorry you were out' card was left for me after an attempted delivery of a parcel.
It clearly stated on it that the Sandy Lane office at Cowley, Oxford, would be open from 7am to 5pm on weekdays.
When I got there at 3pm, it was closed. A notice said that from November 19, the office would be open only from 8am to 2pm on weekdays.
This wasted journey to collect what is, after all, my property will probably be made by many other people in the coming weeks.
If last Christmas is anything to go by, people will be queuing for long periods to get their items.
As the phone is never answered when I call, could someone from Royal Mail reply to this?
I would like to know if this short service is permanent - and why did the card say to wait 24 hours before attempting to collect, when it has usually always been 3-5 hours to allow the item to get back to the depot?
