EIGHT people have appeared in court after breaking lockdown rules.
One man said he was seeing a female he had ‘paid for business’, another was driving around aimlessly in the middle of the night and a woman was busted for collecting a table.

These are the eight people who were in the dock at Oxford Magistrates Court on August 22 for breaching the lockdown rules:
- Calistro Dacosta, 29, of Long Ground, Oxford, was found at Eastern house in Oxford on April 28 and stated that he was there to ‘see a female’ who he ‘had paid for business’. After admitting leaving his house during lockdown he was fined £146, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
- Chloe Louise Edmonds, 29, of Coromandel, Abingdon, was convicted of participating in a gathering of more than two people during lockdown on April 21 in an underground car park at Gloucester Green. In the court documents it said: “Chloe has a home address in Abingdon but spent the evening in Oxford with members of the homeless community. Still here at 10am the next day with a group of five people’. She was also convicted of leaving her house without a reasonable excuse and was slapped with a fine of £240. She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

- Evgeniya Buraya, 29, of Morris Crescent, Oxford, admitted travelling to Bicester Road in Kidlington on April 10 to collect a table from her sisters-in-law house. She was fined £154, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.
- Craig Simmonds, 22, of Collins Street, Oxford, was found driving round with two other people in a car in the early hours of the morning without a reasonable excuse on April 20. He was also convicted for leaving his house and was fined £240 in total. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
- Callum Stuart Ledbury, 21, of Springfield Road, Wantage admitted failing to comply with instruction at Hagbourne Road in Didcot on April 20. In documents it said he had been removed from the house by police and advised he was in breach but officers were recalled to the location as Ledbury had returned despite instructions. He was fined £80, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

- Dale Matthew Hall, 33, of Hayward Bridge Road, Oxford, was convicted of leaving a place without a reasonable excuse on April 22 at Sandy Lane West. He had left the place he was living with a male who does not live there and could not account for their whereabouts like making an essential trip out. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
- Daniel Brackett, 42, of Field Avenue, Oxford, admitted being outside without a reasonable excuse on April 18 at Templars Square, Cowley. He was reported for causing a ‘disturbance’ in Cowley Centre and was not there for ‘any lawful purpose’. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
- Bailey Idris Bone, 18, of Bartholomew Avenue, Kidlington admitted leaving and being outside without a reasonable excuse during the coronavirus emergency period on April 15, 2020 at Troy Close. She was fined £60, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
