Boris Johnson donned gloves, mask and white coat today for a visit to an Oxford laboratory.
The Prime Minister met scientists at the Jenner Institute which is leading research into a Covid-19 vaccine.
The visit was kept secret from the Oxford Mail and other local journalists, with no opportunity for our reporters to talk to Mr Johnson or question him on his response to the coronavirus pandemic and the new strict 'rule of six' social distancing restrictions.
Photographs taken of his visit were later released through the Press Associaction.
