TELEVISION host Richard Osman, known for the hit show Pointless, surprised buyers at three Oxfordshire bookshops.
The presenter visited Mostly Books, the Wallingford Bookshop and The Bookstore in Abingdon to sign copies of his new book, The Thursday Murder Club, on Wednesday.
Published on September 3 the comic novel about a group of octogenarian sleuths investigating a murder along with sold more than 45,000 copies in three days, making it the fastest selling debut crime fiction novel since records began.

A spokesperson for Mostly Cub, which holds a limited number of signed copies in store, said: "The Thursday Murder Club is brilliantly written comic novel.
"Thrilling, moving and laugh out loud funny, The Thursday Murder Club will appeal to readers of all ages and is a perfect book club read."
