A MAN has been jailed after stealing hundreds of pounds worth of meat.
Magistrates jailed Andrew Copeland Brown because of his ‘flagrant disregard for court orders, people and their property’.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 15, the 54-year-old, of Henry Taunt Close, Headington, admitted:
• Stealing food, costing £60, from Sainsbury’s on London Road, on July 10
• Stealing meat, costing £74, from Waitrose on London Road, on July 17
• Stealing meat, costing £87, from Iceland on London Road on August 13
• Stealing unknown items, costing an unknown amount, from Iceland on August 13
• Assaulting by beating a woman on Windmill Road, Oxford the same day

He was sent to prison for eight weeks because the offences are ‘so serious and aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending’.
He must also pay back compensation of £100.
