Oxfordshire's bonniest baby, as chosen by readers of the Oxford Mail, is 11-month-old Mason Bailey May.

More than 5,000 people voted for their favourites from 800 pictures we published in a special guide last month - but it was Yarnton tot Mason who captured readers' hearts.

Now Mason, his mum Stacey Froude, 27, and dad Marlon May, 28, are set to enjoy a tinsel-filled pre-Christmas trip to Disneyland Paris.

Miss Froude said: "We wanted him to get into child modelling so we thought we'd give this a go and see how he got on.

"I was absolutely elated when we found out he'd won. We were really surprised.

"He definitely likes being in the picture and he's a bit of a flirt. His dad's a personal trainer and when he was little he started to do press-ups - he's a bit of a poser.

"We are really looking forward to going to Disneyland as we haven't had a holiday for a while.

"It means a lot to us and we're keeping all the cuttings out of the paper in his baby box - so we can embarrass him when he's older!"

A total of 303 people voted for Mason, who won the category of nought to nine-months-old.

Mason was also presented with a champion's trophy and life-sized portrait. The family's trip will be featured in a follow-up special.

Jacob Male, of Whites Lane, Radley, won the ten to 18 months old category, receiving a trophy and a professional portrait.

His mum, Sam, 37, and dad Stephen, 42, said they were delighted with Jacob's success.

Mrs Male said: "His nan said to enter him after seeing it advertised in the paper.

"He took a bit of persuading to try to smile when they took the picture but we were very pleased to find he'd won his age group."

Mr Male added: "The picture will take pride of place and the trophy will be on the side for everyone to see."

Cyra Bye, two-and-a-half, of Croft Road, Marston, won the 19 to 36 months category.

Her mum, Tracey, said she entered her daughter because it was the last chance before she was too old. She said: "I couldn't believe it, I really couldn't. I was very excited for her and I phoned round and told everyone."

10-18 months runners up were Isabella Jasmine Wheeler in second and Cheyanne Waller in third
