OXFORD lovers can show off their loyalty to the city with a new personalised registration plate.
For a starting price of £400, one proud local can bid on ‘OX17 FORD’ to don on their motor.
It is one of the 1,250 plates featured in the seven-day auction by the DVLA.
Unique number plates are released every March and September with collectors forking out thousands of pounds to bag special designs.
At the time of print, the most expensive number plate for sale was ’45 S’ with an eye-watering bid of £30,010.

Other fun plates included CYC 13E (cycle) for a starting price of £300 and PEL 47ON (Peloton) for £250.
Football fans can also try and outbid an Arsenal plate of ‘AR69 NAL’ which is currently at £1,230 or Aston Villa ‘XAV 111A’ sitting at £360.
Name plates have also been released for:
- 'KA16 REN' currently at £1,760
- 'DE18 BRA' at £410
- 'JEM 8A' at £730
- 'TOM 2E' at £2,010
- 'OLV 114' at £1,310
- 'NOA 99H' at £370
- 'RH19 NNA' at £760
- 'RUB 99Y' at £1,110
- 'WE19 NDY' at £830
The online sale has already started with the agency’s virtual hammer falling at 11am on Tuesday, September 8.
