A 45-YEAR-OLD man rescued from a river in Wantage has died.
The man was found by a passer-by in Letcombe Brook, near Mill Street, at about 5.15pm on Tuesday.
Paramedics gave the man emergency mouth-to-mouth at the riverside and he was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Police today announced the man has now died but officers are not treating it as suspicious.
It is believed he had been walking home from Sainsbury's at about 5pm before he was spotted in the water.
