AN Oxford city centre street has reopened after suddenly closing to traffic this morning.
Queen Street, between Carfax and The Westgate Centre, was shut for bus services so Oxford Direct Services could carry out repair work.
The route stayed open for pedestrians throughout, but Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach had to divert some services, which have now returned to normal.

Queen St has been closed unexpectedly this morning and we are working closely with the council to get it re-opened. In the meantime, 3/8/9 services are unable to serve Westgate.
Passengers using the operator's 3,8 and 9 services were asked to board at the Turl Street stop, while the city35 service is now serving stop P1 at St Aldates Police Station.

Meanwhile, Stagecoach's 3 and 8 buses could not serve stop E2 for the Westgate, with customers asked to board from stop T2 on the High Street.
