A PAEDOPHILE who arranged to meet an eight-year-old girl for sexual activity has been jailed.
Pervert Kevin Dale didn't realise at first that the pub rendezvous, which he didn't attend, was in fact with an undercover police officer.
The 47-year-old of Green Ridges, Oxford, was already subject to a sexual harm prevention order made last year for sexual communications with a child.
For that crime he was also handed a four-month jail term, suspended for 18 months.

At Oxford Crown Court yesterday he was sentenced for four breaches of that order as well as two further counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence.
Outlining the case prosecutor Ian Hope said that over a number of days in late July Dale communicated with an undercover police officer online.
That officer purported to be a mother of two daughters - who were aged 13 and eight.
The online conversations soon became explicit and his first question was to ask if he could 'finger her daughter.'
Dale went on to ask for pictures of that fictional woman's children.
He also asked her if the oldest child was on a contraceptive pill and whether he could ejaculate inside the youngest girl.
A meet-up was arranged at a pub in Manchester and the court heard that Dale 'bottled it' and didn't attend.

He was later arrested at his home and he surrendered his mobile phone and a laptop he said he had recently bought.
Dale went on to admit four separate breaches of his sexual harm prevention order - by using chat sites, the false internet alias 'Oxfor', purchasing an internet enabled device and deleting internet history from a mobile phone.
It was also revealed that while he had not travelled for the meeting in Manchester he had researched the time it would take to travel there.
In mitigation his defence barrister said that Dale had previously run his own business as a painter and decorator.
The court also heard that Dale was 'very sorry' and that he never intended to hurt any children.
Sentencing, Judge Ian Pringle QC jailed him for a total of three years and four months.
That sentence was made up of a total of two years for the breaches to run concurrently with three years for the arranging the commission of a child sex offences.
A further four months was added from the previously imposed suspended sentence, which was activated in full.
Dale must also pay a victim surcharge and he will sign the sex offenders register and be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for life.
