STAFF from Hartwell Land Rover in Cumnor followed in the footsteps of some of the worlds most adventurous athletes last weekend by taking part in a gruelling competition based upon Land Rovers global G4 Challenge.
Like the event from which it takes its inspiration, G4 Trek proved to be a test of mind, body and teamwork which saw three members of staff from the dealership venture to the Land Rover Experience Centre West Country in Honiton to pit themselves against teams from other dealerships across the UK.
Richard Jenkins, dealer principal of Hartwell Land Rover, at Cumnor, said: "The event was a fantastic team building opportunity and a chance for the staff here to prove the depth of their product and wider automotive knowledge before getting their hands dirty and sleeping under canvas during the four-day event.
"The demanding competition saw team members complete a number of physical and team building activities including road driving, mountain biking, bridge building, and navigation tasks."
He added: "The bigger G4 Challenge programme is recognised in adventure racing circles as one of the toughest challenges around - so giving the team a chance to hone their physical and mental abilities on a smaller scale whilst demonstrating their spirit of adventure first hand has been a fantastic experience."
