A DRAMATIC fire that could be seen from the M40 was probably started because of a mechanical fault, firefighters have said.
Crews were called to an off-road racing track in Arncott on Thursday afternoon after a 999 call about a camper on fire.
Three teams from Defence (Capita) Fire and Rescue Service in Arncott, Brill and Bicester raced to the scene with a water carrier from Wheatley.

When they arrived the owner had already disconnected some of the extremely flammable gas cylinders to make the area safer.
Firefighters, wearing breathing equipment, then shuttled water across Arncott's motocross track before finding ways to move closer in the 'remote location' and using jets and hose reels to wash it out.
Taking to Faeboook the crew said: "The fire accidentally started in the camper most likely due to a mechanical failure."
In an emergency always call 999.
