A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after an incident at the John Radcliffe Hospital yesterday.
Thames Valley Police confirmed today that they attended the hospital at around 4.35pm following a report of a man with a firearm.
Officers recovered two air powered guns at the scene and detained the suspect.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed that the 25-year-old is currently in police custody.

They added: "No one was injured during this incident and there is not believed to be a wider threat to the public."
It is not yet known why the man was there, however, a 'thorough investigation' is being carried out.
Commenting on yesterday's incident chief operating officer at Oxford University Hospitals Sara Randall said: "I am grateful for the quick actions of our staff and security teams to keep our patients safe and to the police for their quick response.
"I am relieved that no-one was hurt.
"This is now a police matter."
