FOUR parents have been fined after their children did not go to school.
The mums and dads appeared in the dock of Oxford Magistrates Court on July 31 after their children failed to attend secondary school for part of the year.

All the parents need to remain anonymous after a court order banned their children from being identified.
The first parents admitted that their child did not attend The Cherwell School between September 4 and December 5.
They were:
- Given a conditional discharge for 12 months
- Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £21 each
- Pay court costs of £176
The second couple were in court after their child failed to attend St Birinus School in Didcot between September 5 and December 18.
They were:
- Fined £32 each
- Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 each
- Pay court costs of £85
