PASSENGERS travelling to London are experiencing severe delays this morning after a man was killed on the line between Reading and Twyford.
A spokesman for Network Rail confirmed the man was involved in a collision with an empty train just before 5am.
Both main lines travelling through Reading are open, but two other relief lines are closed causing delays of up to an hour.
Network Rail has said an investigation has begun into how the incident occurred and has apologised to passengers for the delay.
