Extinction Rebellion believe petrol pumps should have a health warning similar to that on cigarette packets because of the danger to health posed by air pollution from fossil fuels.
Members will be handing out leaflets explaining the the danger to health posed by air pollution caused by vehicle emissions at the Shell garage on London Road, Headington and the BP petrol station at Pear Tree roundabout on August, 28.

Supporters will be extending banners on fossil fuels from 11 bridges in Oxfordshire on Friday .The key message will be ‘No future for fossil fuels.’
Extinction Rebellion member, Hazel Dawe said: “The Climate Emergency is also a public health emergency. We need our government to take this seriously. We want action to reduce emissions now. Burning fossil fuels also contributes to climate change, which threatens the health of current and future generations.”
