THERE was an unexpected arrival at Thames Valley Police's headquarters in Kidlington.
A couple realised they weren't going to make it to the hospital in time for the birth of their baby daughter so they pulled into the police car park.
Inspector Patterson and Inspector Pickering rushed to the scene to find the birth had already happened, and provided reassurance and medical treatment until the ambulance arrived.

The couple were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital and police dropped off their car.
On Friday, the family, including the new addition, came to headquarters.
Sharing a picture of the visit on social media, the force wrote: "This story warmed our hearts. Congratulations to the family."
