A man was viciously beaten in a 'shocking' unprovoked attack while walking home from a night out.
The 34-year-old was going through a wooded area at the junction of Brize Norton Road and Carterton Road in Brize Norton at approximately 12.15am on Tuesday.
He was then attacked from behind by two men, who hit him on the head.
While the victim was on the ground, they kicked him in the ribs before fleeing and leaving him unconscious on the floor.
The pair are described as white and were wearing dark hooded jackets.

One of the men had a silver BMX bicycle.
The victim was treated at hospital but has since been discharged.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Paddy O'Grady said: “This was a truly shocking incident during which the victim was making his way home from a night out when he was assaulted in an unprovoked attack.
“The two offenders assaulted the victim from behind and then left him unconscious as they fled the scene."

He added: “I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious or might have any footage from dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phones.
