A POPULAR leisure centre swimming pool will finally reopen as temperatures are set to rise this weekend.
Swimmers will be able to get back in the water from today at the Ferry Pool in Summertown.
The Ferry Leisure Centre is already open for gym and exercise classes and has cleaning procedures and staffing in place.
Safety checks are underway and the pool is being heated up for the eager users this weekend.
The learner pool is also set to reopen from tomorrow.
Swimmers will need to book in advance for a 50 minute session, to ensure that numbers are kept within social distancing guidelines.
Those planning to visit will have to pay online to minimise face-to-face contact at the leisure centre.

Anthony Cawley, director of operations for Fusion Lifestyle, which manages the centre, said: “We know our leisure facilities are really important for the health and wellbeing of the local community.
“We have been working in partnership with Oxford City Council to get them open again as soon as they are safe and viable to do so.”
The pool will be opened between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and 8am and 4pm on weekends.
