A TEAM will pass through Oxford on a pedalo during their attempt to set a new world record.
The four men, representing motor neurone disease charity Challenging MND, will next week begin their attempt to break a Guinness World Record to travel the 128 miles of the Thames in a pedalo in the fastest time.

The current record is four days, 12 hours, 49 minutes and 17 seconds.
Leading the team will be Alex Gibson, diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2018.

Starting on Wednesday, August 26, they will travel from Lechlade to Teddington Lock, passing through Oxford, Abingdon and Faringdon.

Mr Gibson said: “We are committed to breaking this Guinness World Record for Challenging MND.
"Being on a pedalo for 13 or 14 hours a day will be tough but I can’t wait.
"We have been training hard and are confident that we can complete the 128 miles faster than anyone before us and raise over £10,000 for charity.”
