A MAN has been fined for driving a lorry more than three times the road weight limit.
Andrew Bateman, of Alderley Close, Carterton, was convicted of driving a 26tonne lorry on a road that could only take 7.5tonnes, twice.

He first drove the green lorry, which is the same weight as about four elephants, on Halfpenny Lane, Wallingford, on November 1, 2019.
Days later, on November 14, he was also caught driving the heavy load on Buckland Road.
At Oxford Magistrates Court on July 24 he was fined £440.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £175.
