A DRIVER has been rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital after a crash on the A420 this morning.
An eye-witness called 999 shortly after 4am after seeing the car crash and roll 'at least once' on the road near Longworth.
South Central Ambulance Service sent a rapid response car and an ambulance to the scene and police officers closed the road to drivers shortly after.
The man had 'sustained a serious head injury' and after initial treatment from paramedics was taken to the Major Trauma Unit at the JR.
This morning Oxon Travel tweeted that emergency services were on the scene of an 'incident' near the Kingston Bagpuize roundabout.
The road has finally reopened to drivers after more than five hours.
At the time our traffic feed said the incident was 'high severity'.
More to follow as we have it.
