A WEATHER warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued by the Met Office.

The forecasters say there is a ‘small chance’ that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly and a ‘slight chance’ of power cuts over the next few days.

Oxford was set to bake in highs of 31C today, hotter than sunny Spain’s capital Madrid which is forecasted rain.

But now our luck might have completely shifted as the weather is set to take a turn for the worst.

The weather is expected to get cooler into the evening as tempretures drop to about 25C.

TOMORROW:

Wednesday will stay warm in Oxford with highs of about 32C in the afternoon.

The Met Office yellow weather warning is in place from the morning and there is a 30 per cent chance of rain between 4pm and 6pm.

THURSDAY:

It will be cooler on Thursday with only highs of 27C at around 4pm.

Rain and heavy downpour is expected for most of the afternoon – between 1pm and 7pm.

FRIDAY:

Heavy showers throughout the day are planned for Friday.

The Met Office has put a 30 per cent chance of stormy weather at 1am with chances of grey clouds and rain dropping to about 20 per cent from 7am until 7pm.
