An elderly woman died following a house fire at Chalgrove, near Thame.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the blaze on the Brookside Estate at about 7pm tonight.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service would give no further details.
A fire service spokesman said the woman's next of kin had not been informed of the death.
