MORE than 20 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Oxfordshire over the weekend.
Public Health England figures show that 3,284 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Saturday in Oxfordshire, up from 3,274 the same time on Friday.
This went up by a further 12 as of today at 9am, with the total across the county's districts 3,296.
Of the new cases nine were in Oxford. There have now been 924 confirmed positive tests in the city, with an infection rate per 100,000 people of 606.1.
This weekend's rise is an increase on the same period last week when 16 new cases were recorded.

The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or Public Health England laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.
It has now been almost a month since a coronavirus death was recorded at an Oxfordshire hospital.
The current death toll at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is 181, with the most recent fatality on June 30.
Globally, positive tests for coronavirus have reached almost 20 million with more than 727,000 deaths.
