We have nothing but praise for postmistress Margarita Morgan and her young assistant, who courageously fought off masked raiders at their post office in Wootton, near Abingdon.
The cowards may have got away with £3,500, but thanks to the quick-thinking Mrs Morgan and her colleague, they failed to get their hands on a much larger sum locked in the safe.
What a laughing stock they will be among their fellow criminals when word gets out that they were routed by two defenceless women.
We wish Mrs Morgan a speedy recovery from her injuries - and a quick march to jail for her assailants.
