The efforts of a council to clean up after travellers left Kidlington have been praised as new barriers are put in place.
It is understood caravans arrived on Lyne Communal Green, off Lyne Road, last Friday and were eventually moved on Thursday night.
The person, who did not want to be named, said: "It’s been an absolute nightmare six days for local residents."
They shared a picture of barriers at the green on Friday to prevent vehicles driving on and added Kidlington Parish Council had done a 'fabulous job' of arranging the clean up.

The resident said: "It was all done early (Friday) morning and defence measures have been installed already."
It comes after an Oxford Mail photographer snapped at least three caravans and several other vehicles beside a basketball court of New Hinksey Playground, off Bertie Place, on Thursday.
More than a dozen caravans were also pictured at King Alfred's School playing fields in Wantage.
Thames Valley Police confirmed on Friday afternoon the travellers were now gone in both areas.
