POLICE tonight renewed their appeal for drivers to come forward after a woman was killed in a collision between two cars on the A40 near Wheatley.

At approximately 11pm on November 20, a gold-coloured Fiat Punto and a green Peugeot 106 collided on the A40 westbound towards Oxford after the Wheatley Services junction.

The 24-year-old driver of the Punto, Victoria McBryde, of Horton, Northamptonshire, was declared dead at the scene.

Sgt Bill Sykes, from Abingdon Roads Policing Unit, said: "We believe that the gold Punto, which could also be described as yellow, was stationary in lane one at the time of the collision. I am specifically appealing to anyone who saw the stationary car and drove past it before the collision.

"If you saw the Punto then please contact me."

Sgt Sykes can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
