Will Oxfordshire County Council make every road in Oxford a controlled zone with residents' only parking, and stop car owners and drivers parking all day and sometimes all night?
This is now happening in The Slade at Headington, outside our window, seven days a week.
These are people who presumably work at the Churchill Hospital or the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. They could easily use hospital car parks, but will not pay to park there.
If it were made impossible to park anywhere else, they would have to pay the car park charges.
The same would apply to those drivers from other areas who park in our streets all day and catch a bus to the city centre.
They would have to use park-and-ride or find other ways to get to work - by bicycle, bus or train.
When I was younger, I used Shanks's Pony to Oxford and back and thought nothing of it.
Even though I am now a pensioner, I still do a lot of walking - it keeps you fit.
Come on, councillors, do the decent and fair thing. Give us value for the money we pay.
Residents' parking only - that's the only way to do it.
