National badminton championships are coming to Bicester again.
Bicester and Ploughley Sports Centre will host a regional round of the National Leisure Centre Badminton Championships early next year.
The event, on Saturday February 23, will be open to social and recreational players only, between 2pm and 5.30pm.
Under 18 boys and girls, men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, mixed doubles and over 50s men's and women's doubles categories are planned.
Cherwell district councillor George Reynolds said: "Players benefit by testing their skills in a challenging environment, playing someone new, being motivated to improve and learn new skills. They have a chance to represent their centre in future rounds.
"I'm sure this year's competition will prove as successful as the last."
The cost is £6 per entrant and all applications and fees must be received by the end of the week.
Category winners will be invited to compete in the regional championships.
