SCAMMERS are targeting Oxfordshire residents pretending to be police to trick them into handing over bank card details.
Thames Valley Police warned it had received reports in the South Oxfordshire and Vale of the White Horse areas of people being called by someone posing as a Sergeant Hunter, who told them there has been fraudulent activity on their account.

The force said it will never ask someone to reveal their banking PIN or full password or send anyone to someone's house to collect cards, cash or jewellery.
