A SILVER van has burst into flames on the A34.
The van set on fire in the first lane of the road just past junction 9, near Bicester.
This photo, taken at 7am, shows the dramatic fire tearing through the front of the car.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at 6.58am.
Two trucks of firefighters from Bicester arrived within minutes and, wearing breathing equipment, hosed down the van until the fire was out.
One of the lanes was shut by police and highways teams but has now been reopened.
Our traffic feed, which can be found here, said that the incident is of 'medium severity'.
Nobody was reported to be hurt during the fire.
Fire crews left the scene at 7.52am.
