PHOTOGRAPHS show the mess left behind as travellers move on from a makeshift campsite.
Bin bags full of rubbish, a mattress, and a battered caravan were all left behind at Wheatley playing fields this week.
A fleet of caravans had been occupying the field until pressure was put on by the police to move on.
One local resident said he had even seen ‘human faeces’.

He said: “Wheatley Primary School had travellers break onto the school playing field, they wrecked one caravan in a night of violence that saw one man repeatedly ram another caravan to destruction with his transit van.”
The travellers left the area on Tuesday evening but the mess was only cleaned up yesterday, it is understood.
The resident said the gates to the field have not been blocked and fears the padlocks could be easily broken.
