AN ARCHITECT has won an award for converting an old printing works into offices for Oxford University Press.
The coveted RIBA award was presented to Roger Stretton, of Berman Guedes Stretton Architects, at a ceremony in Newbury.
The building, attached to the main Grade II-listed quadrangle buildings on Walton Street in Oxford, has high insulation and energy-efficient heating and ventilation.
Berman Guedes Stretton also recently won the RIBA Ibstock Downland Live-Work Prize for their work on a listed water mill.
The 30 staff are based in offices in St Clements, Oxford and Kensington, London.
