A POLICE inspector accused of making fake insurance claims will face his bosses at a misconduct hearing today.
Between March 7 and August 6 last year, Inspector Iain Kane made an inconsistent report of robbery to the police before withdrawing his support for it.

He also made a dishonest insurance claim and exaggerated the money owed to him from when he ran the police station tuck shop in Amersham.
The reports are so serious that if proven, he will be fired on the spot.
The misconduct hearing, which will be in private, is expected to run today and tomorrow after being adjourned in February.
As it is, Inspector Kane is currently suspended.
