Drivers faced delays on the M40 this morning following an accident on the southbound carriageway.
The accident happened between junction seven at Thame and junction six at Watlington and caused queuing traffic but no drivers were injured. There was also a three-car shunt at junction nine of the M40 near Bicester.
There was a third accident on the slip road leading onto the M40 at junction eight, Wheatley, but no-one was seriously hurt.
On the A34, at 6.40am, a car overturned on the northbound carriageway between the Chilton and Milton interchanges and paramedics took one driver to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
