THE roars of military aircraft may have woken Oxfordshire residents in the early hours of this morning.
RAF Brize Norton revealed last night it would be deploying some of its jets on essential night flights.
The base took to Facebook to warn the Carterton community and stressed the flight were 'routine'.

A statement said: "We apologise in advance for any disturbance caused due to this essential military flying activity.
"These are necessary, routine, flights and not connected with RAF support to the UK's fight against coronavirus."
