CAMPAIGNERS protested outside a city petrol station and turned away more than 100 cars in their bid to raise awareness of political oppression in Burma.
Members of Amnesty International and other human rights groups targeted the Total garage in Garsington Road to draw attention to links between the company and Burma's military regime.
About 17 campaigners armed with placards and banners gathered outside the forecourt on Saturday.
Protester Dennis Hambridge, of Goose Green Close, Wolvercote, said: "The protest is across the UK and is making a big impression.
"Here in Oxford we turned away about 100 cars from the forecourt and that is a significant loss to the company."
