NINE MEN have been found in the back of a lorry at Wheatley services.
A passer-by dialled 999 at around 3.32pm after they thought people were inside a parked HGV container.
More than 10 police cars, vans and ambulance crews raced to the scene and taped off the area in a suspected major incident.
The men were given the once over by paramedics before being ‘handed over’ to Thames Valley Police officers and Border Force UK.
A spokesperson for the police has now confirmed that all of the men have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.
They added: “The nine men are being taken to police custody prior to being dealt with by the immigration service.”
A passer-by said they had seen a large electric blue lorry cordoned off by police at the service station and had seen officers searching the area.

This afternoon an employee at the BP garage said they couldn’t see anything clearly from their shop but could see a lot of police in the area.
They mentioned spotting two ambulance crews who had gone within hours.
