Gyms can re-open on July 25 - and outdoor swimming pools, nail bars and tatoo parlours can open from Monday.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden made the announcement this afternoon.
He said there will be 'subject to some restrictions on particularly high-risk services' but that normal life is 'slowly returning.'
Outdoor performances - such as theatre, opera and musicals - can also restart on Monday.
The announcement came after growing pressure on the Government from the fitness and beauty industries to allow re-opening, after pubs, restaurants and hair salons were able to open last weekend.
Mr Dowden said gyms had 'engaged very constructively' with the Government to address concerns and that it had always been the aim to re-open gyms by mid-July.
