DAVID Overton is another former pupil with fond memories of the stage productions at Wheatley Secondary School.
He appeared in several shows while he was a pupil there from 1954-58.
One of them was John Gay's The Beggar's Opera, the production in his final year - and he still has a copy of the programme.
He played one of Captain Macheath's gang of highwaymen.
The production had a cast of 46, with many teachers helping behind the scenes.
Mr Overton, who now lives in Godalming, Surrey, also appeared in the picture, sent in by music teacher Jeffery Babb, of the cast of the 1955 show (Memory Lane, July 2).
As we recalled, the show consisted of two mimes, a comedy, a play and two performances by the first and second year choirs.
Mr Overton writes: "I moved away from the area in 1960 and lost touch and often wonder what happened to former pupils."
