Percy Blake and his fellow workers at Cowley not only made, sold and serviced cars - they enjoyed a full sporting life as well.
They spent many hours at Morris Motors Athletic and Social Club in Crescent Road taking part in inter-departmental competitions.
Mr Blake, of Littleworth Road, Wheatley, has sent in this selection of pictures from his collection.
They show award-winning footballers, cricketers and skittle players at BMC Service, where he worked for 36 years.
The Crescent Road ground was a hive of sporting activity, both indoors and outdoors.
Mr Blake recalls: "Apart from cricket, football and skittles, there was darts, bowls, shooting - everything you could think of."
Workers would spend their days in the factory or offices, then head for the clubhouse to enjoy an evening's entertainment.
One of the highlights of the club's programme was the annual sports day, which was always attended by Lord Nuffield who, as William Morris, started the Cowley car empire.
Mr Blake not only played sport for BMC Service - he also played football for Headington United, Oxford City, Witney Town and Abingdon Town.
He started his career on the left wing, but later moved to centre forward.
In one memorable match for Witney, he scored six times.
