To honour the Cowley Road Carnival, local artist Andrew Mani Manson (The Big Orange M) has painted a huge portrait of Sir David Attenborough.
The mural is on the side of East Oxford Games Hall and it is designed to honour the Cowley Road Carnival and its theme of ‘Mother Nature’.
Mr Manson has created bright and colourful murals across Oxford, including his recent artwork at the Rose Hill community centre which thanks the key workers in the city for their hard work throughout the pandemic.

Now his mural of the nature documentary maker, softly staring at a brightly coloured butterfly, covers a wall of the East Oxford Games Hall, a building which is set to be part of a housing and redevelopment scheme.
On the giant mural a quote from the nature loving documentary maker himself has been painted to accompany his portrait. The quote says: "The future of humanity and indeed all life on earth now depends on us."
Ward councillors Jamila Begum Azad and Tom Hayes visited the mural ahead of the virtual carnival events.
