For the first time in weeks more coronavirus deaths have been announced at Oxfordshire's hospitals.
In NHS England’s daily update yesterday two new patient deaths were recorded at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the John Radcliffe.
Before this the trust's death toll, which now stands at 181, had not increased since June 17.
There can be a delay in the figures being updated, however, with the first death in this case taking place on June 16 and the second on June 26.
A further 35 people who tested positive for Covid-19, added to hospital fatalities in England yesterday, bringing the total there to 28,794.
Patients were aged between 54 and 92 years old, with two patients, aged 54 and 84, having no known underlying health conditions.
A new death has also been announced this week at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the county's community hospitals.
It brings the death toll there to 23 but as the trust also runs services outside Oxfordshire it is not possible to know how many of these took place in the county.
