ONE of the stars of TV comedy This Country, Paul Chahidi, is the new ambassador for an Oxford hospice.
Mr Chahidi, who grew up in Summertown, has a personal connection to Sobell House, after his father was cared for by the hospice in 2015 before his death.
The actor played the Rev Francis Seaton in the hit BBC TV show, and also starred in the film Death of Stalin. He said: “I am thrilled to be able to help raise awareness of this incredible place that looked after my dad with such exceptional care and compassion.”
Lorraine Pink, head of fundraising at Sobell House, said the team was ‘absolutely delighted’ to welcome him onboard.
