HUNDREDS of households in Oxfordshire have been left without running water for almost a week after a major leak.
Residents in part of Wantage and Grove have now been without water since Tuesday last week and many are struggling to cope.
One Grove local, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was 'angry' about how the problem has been handled.
He added: "My parents who are elderly have not had water for days.
"Although giving out bottled water is enough for drinking, Thames Water don't seem to be doing much about the fact we cannot wash or flush the toilet or do our washing, which in these current times are paramount."
A number of homes in the area were affected after a burst pipe started swamping the A34 between Milton and Chiltern junctions.
Thames Water said that 'the area is now back in supply', however, as engineers recover reservoir levels, 'there may be areas that temporarily face low pressure or no water'.

A spokesperson added: " We are sorry to anyone who has experienced water outages or low pressure, which is due to a burst on a 13 inch-diameter pipe.
"We know this has happened at an especially difficult time and understand the concerns customers may have.
"The network is now running as usual and all customers should be back in supply.
"We provided bottled water for collection by anyone who needed it throughout the weekend and have also delivered water to vulnerable customers, including care homes."
