EMERGENCY crews rushed to clean up after a broken six-inch water main threatened households in the Cogges area, near the River Windrush.
Using a charged hose and wet vacuums to divert as much water as possible from households the crew from Witney fire station was able to minimise the damage and stabilise the situation.
Firefighters arrived at the scene of the incident at 6.30am yesterday morning to assist Thames Water.
The water was isolated less than two hours later and work was underway to repair the damage.
